Looking for instructions on how to splice/braid a horse halter and lead from one sisal rope.?
In the 70’s, when I went to the World’s Fair in Spokane, WA, there was a cowboy there splicing and braiding halters and leads from one continuous piece of sisal rope. I was fascinated, and after watching him for hours, he gave me one. It has since rotted away, but I am hoping somebody out there knows how to do this. This is not the knotted halters that are everywhere! He separated the strands of sisal and wove another part in to where it needed to be. It was not adjustable that I remember, but was built for the size of the horse. I would surely like to find someone who knows how to do this and get instructions or lessons. Thank you!
