what should I do about the relatives????
My family (aunts uncles grandparents) went on vacation and they seem to have a problem with me. My little bratty cousin got mad a me because I bought a purse kinda like her’s and a shirt that was just the same style (not same color or even brand), So my relitives seem to think I’m a spoiled brat (also because I got a lot of things I wanted on vacation but I saved my money to buy those things). But after i got a pet my cousin wanted a pet and got the same kind. After I got a mountain bike my cousin got one, after I dropped the sax to play the flute she did the same thing, after I got my ears peirced she got her’s peirced….You get the point. They think she’s a little angel and I don’t know why. I want to confront them but what should I say.
This thing that the two of you copy each other is common. However it is very annoying to the person being copied. I’d like to tell you that people out grow it but a lot don’t! Women and BFs often do this kind of thing too. I’m sure nobody is thinking about who or how something was paid for. Sounds like the kids are making the parents feel like they need these things by telling them the other have them. This might be causing hard feeling between the parents. Obviously it is between the two of you. I’d be sure to buy nothing else she has or let her know what you get. If she visits a lot then put your things up. When I had a friend I noticed did this kind of thing and it got on my last nerve I started just telling her I wanted really stupid stuff to see if she’d race to go get it. Guess what? She did. I don’t think you should confront them. Just stay away from you cousin for a while. Just let it all die down.
